We Read at Dawn
Incoming: Sunday morning book (and maybe podcast) recommendations.
I don't know about dawn, but I usually read in the mornings. It's easier to get up when I already have a book in progress, or at least picked out. Starting this coming Sunday morning, I'll be sharing a weekly series of book and (occasionally) podcast recommendations. A common theme may eventually emerge, but so far, I think it's just "books that moved me." Probably 2 to 3 a week.
It will be fun, it will be heavy, it will be funny, it will be deadly serious, it will be mostly fiction. We're doing Sunday mornings so if you just finished something, you have time get a new book before the week starts. If you want a short weekly email with some good reading suggestions, subscribe to the newsletter. It took a lot for me to even write those words, so rest assured I won't ever email more than once per week. I'll always put the recommendations at the top, so if you want to blindly trust me or at least quickly scan them, this may be the newsletter for you.
P.S. Justice for night owls! I'm fairly certain I'm only a morning person due to early rising forebears and a childhood fear of missing out. I also read (watched one Instagram video that said) that night owls are evolved from the people who had to guard the camp back in the day (no idea when or where) while the early risers slept. As such, we read at any time our circadian rhythms will allow.
